PPE Vision

Monitor protective equipment on your Hanwha camera.

Monitor hard hats, reflective vests and reflective trousers directly on a supported Hanwha WN9 camera. PPE Vision links equipment observations to tracked people, records relevant events and can add optional colour information for helmets and vests.

HOW IT WORKS

From setup to everyday use.

01

Set the PPE policy

Choose the equipment classes and regions that are visible from the installed Hanwha camera.

02

Review the event

Set the alarm timing and use local event history to review detected events.

03

Send the alert

Send native camera events or a configured HTTPS payload to your operational system.

CAMERA COMPATIBILITY

Supported cameras and requirements.

  • Supported Hanwha WN9 Open Platform models and firmware, with a matching application package.
  • The standard seven-class profiles cover people, helmets, reflective vests and reflective trousers, including missing-equipment classes. Glasses and earmuffs are not supported by these profiles.
  • Optional helmet and vest colour estimation requires a release that includes the feature. Lighting, white balance and the size of the visible item affect the estimate.
  • We confirm the selected model, visible body regions and scene conditions before evaluation.
INSTALLATION & SETUP

How to get started.

  1. Share the Hanwha camera model, firmware, serial number and required equipment policy.

  2. Obtain the package approved for that WN9 camera and firmware profile.

  3. Activate the signed camera-bound licence and configure regions, rules and event delivery.

  4. Test compliant and non-compliant scenarios, event history and the complete receiving workflow.

FAQ

Questions before you start.

Send us your camera model and intended use. We’ll help you check compatibility and plan a trial.

Is PPE Vision a separate Hanwha application?

Yes. PPE Vision is developed for supported Hanwha WN9 Open Platform cameras and uses its own installation package and signed camera-bound licence.

Which colours can PPE Vision describe?

The optional feature estimates red, yellow, orange, blue, green, white or black for a detected helmet or reflective vest. Unclear observations are marked Unknown. Colour estimation is off by default and depends on the supplied release.

Can colour change a PPE alarm?

No. Colour is descriptive information for detection details, saved events and supported API or HTTPS outputs. It does not enforce a required colour or change PPE compliance and alarm rules.

Can event evidence stay local?

Yes. PPE Vision provides local event history, optional alarm thumbnails and retention controls. Administrators decide whether to enable external HTTPS delivery.

Does PPE Vision replace safety supervision?

No. It supplies observations for human review. Required protective equipment, supervision and safety controls remain essential.
